Floor area alone is not enough
Heating and cooling load, target temperatures, insulation, glazing, hot-water demand and available electrical capacity all affect sizing. Selecting only by square metres can create oversized or undersized systems.
Check system temperatures and hydraulics
Heat pumps perform best when supply temperatures and hydraulics are appropriate. Emitters, buffer tanks, pumps, valves and controls must be reviewed as one system.
Plan service and spare parts before purchase
Imported systems need service access, documentation, suitable commissioning and a realistic spare-parts path. These questions should be resolved before purchasing.
Power supply, controls and peak load
Electrical capacity, protection, starting and peak loads and the control strategy matter alongside thermal output. Where supply is limited or unstable, load management, storage or a hybrid concept may be more practical than selecting a device in isolation.
Maintenance, spare parts and long-term operation
Filters, pumps, valves, sensors and controls need service access and a spare-parts strategy. A system is only sustainable when maintenance, diagnosis and common replacement parts are considered during selection.
